Writing

It was just that I can't imagine or vision out my future self. You could say it's a phase that I went through. My dream was to be a veterinary and open up my own vet center. It didn't go well because of my grades. Being a vet was all I wanted to be while growing up. I was sure that I'd be one. I had no backup plans. With no backups, I ended up relying on one of my hobbies. Which was a lot.

  • Arts and Crafts
  • Reading
  • Writing
  • Cross- stitching
  • Baking
  • etc...
That's the problem. I have a lot of hobbies and I don't do all of them in a week. It takes the right time and mood for me to be doing one of the things in the list. I narrowed it down as much as I could and ended up with writing. Writing... what kind of jobs requires a lot of writings? I started to list out two jobs I knew that required writing. An author. A journalist.

I've tried writing a story before on Wattpad (I forgot my account already). The story was called "The Lucky 7", but it was never completed. It was a mess. It didn't seem like a mess back when I wrote it. But when I read it back, I definitely could have used stronger vocabularies. It's really fun to write for me since I always overthink things, always imagine/ daydream, and sometimes it's just for me to express myself easily. I could write countless of stories but the chance of making it to #NewYorkBestTimeSeller would mean I have to rely on eating bread everyday. I'm kidding. It's actually hard to create an original story that excites readers to read. Therefore, I went with journalism.

With journalism, you could write on so many topics. Politics. Economics. Finance. Technology. Sports. Fashion. Entertainment. And so on. You get the gist of it. You also just need to state facts and as much truth as you can (but we know some don't). A surprise to this was that I had no idea it was in the mass communication field. I was shocked and tried to adapt to the major. I just wanted to write and there's a whole bunch of camera works needed to do :/ It all worked out in the end even though I was going to change and go for PR instead.

If you don't know what to do for your degree or don't like your current job right now, it's never to late to take a career path test. It'll give you a list of careers that might give you an interest in. In fact, it's never to late for anything.
